I’m going to start this post by disclosing that destination weddings have become MY FAVORITE, especially now that I am an older and experienced wedding attendee.  The Doyle-Matthews celebration in Las Vegas was an experience unlike any other.. basically a non-stop party AND celebration of love.

For this #HashtagiDoFlashback, I am revisiting the fabulous Matthews wedding.  The timing is perfect as they are celebrating their one year anniversary TODAY!

Las Vegas has FOREVER been my favorite place to visit, but being there to celebrate a wedding made it even more fun. One of the best parts about this trip in particular was being able to spend SO MUCH TIME with Karla and Brian and their other guests.  They have a tight-knit group of family and friends who all love each other so much, it made it that much more special to be a part of.

Karla and Brian chose the super swanky Aria resort as their venue, and it was all so stunning.  The ceremony site was perfectly intimate, with gorgeous details including an aisle lined with rose petals.. and exquisite lighting that provided just the right amount of sparkle.  In one word, #BandKsayIdo was stunning.

Afterwards, we took a super fun road trip to Maggiano’s Little Italy, off the strip.  Our fun party of about 30 enjoyed a delicious meal in a private room, that had a radiating party vibe felt throughout the entire restaurant.  The sounds spun by their DJ (and close friend) were heard beyond the walls of our special space.. and as soon as the newlyweds cut their cake- everyone hit the dance floor.

And as if THAT weren’t enough, their crew kept the party going in the hours AFTER it all ended… way into the next morning.  They’re a dedicated group, in sickness and in health.  From my experience with Mr. and Mrs. Matthews, I learned Las Vegas is a sure bet for a good time- especially with a posse like theirs.  Congratulations, you two..it’s time for a repeat!
